Celebrating the life of

Pat K. Morris

September 12, 1925 - February 06, 2016

Pat K. Morris

Pat K. Morris, age 90, died February 6, 2016, in Savannah, Georgia. She was born in Millican, Texas on September 12, 1925, to Gertrude and William Kaigler.

She married Smith B. Coleman II in Dallas, Texas following his return from the South Pacific Theater at the end of World War II. After this marriage ended in divorce, she married Charles Christopher Morris, MD, and lived the next 40 years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a tireless volunteer with the Mental Health Association, the Junior League and was the President of the Volunteer Program at Pennsylvania Hospital. She enjoyed travelling the world and playing world class duplicate bridge.

She moved to Savannah in 2004 and spent the next 10 years living at the Landings on Skidaway Island. She continued playing bridge and reached the level of Gold Life Master, a significant personal achievement.

Pat is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Bigelow of Savannah; her son, Smith B. Coleman III of Charleston, South Carolina; and her grandson Wesley Whittenburg of Houston, Texas.

Her family will celebrate her life privately and suggests that any memorial donations be sent to the Savannah Association for the Blind.
